I started this site/blog, Heart Sifu recently, after my mother suffered near-fatal congestive heart failure in 2015.
.
My sister and I were warned not to expect too much and, very sadly, we summoned the priest to the ICU at the hospital to give Mum her last rites.
.
While she didn’t die then, Mum was discharged later from hospital in a vegetable-like condition: crippled, frail, weak, wizened, couldn’t speak and with a feeding tube down her nose.
.
We were saddled with a hefty medical bill and had to continue feeding Mum expensive prescription drugs, a few of which gave her profuse internal bleeding.
.
Since there was no more (today, with hind-sight ‘apparent’) hope for Mum, I tried other ways of helping her and keeping her as comfortable as possible, preparing her for an easy transition into death. But instead, she slowly, but surely, started to get better.
.
Fast forward 2 years today (August 2017): She is well, walks and eats her favourite foods at her favourite restaurants. And she IS NOT on any prescription drugs WITH her consulting medical doctor’s approval.
.
Now people started asking me what we did.
.
I get asked by my cousins, friends, even her doctors because they saw Mum dying, but is alive and well now. What did we do that they could learn from?
.
With a lot of folks asking for advice, I was compelled to take a step back and listen to what they have to say.
.
I am NOT a medical doctor or a health guru. Far from it. I HAD to try various ‘natural’ ways for Mum because she was so ill. We did use a combination of Western protocols and holistic treatments and remedies, veering towards the holistic side. And when the need is there, we still use Western protocols.
.
This site contains various bits of information on heart health. Go visit and take a good dig around.
.
There are holistic ways which can help conditions like BLOCKED ARTERIES, HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE, HIGH CHOLESTEROL, ANGINA, PALPITATIONS, HEART DISEASE OR OTHER HEART-RELATED COMPLICATIONS and keep them under control, or even reverse them in certain cases.
.
However, the choice lies with the patient or the carers, to use these holistic treatments alone or in conjunction with Western medical protocols. Each person is different, and each person may get different outcomes whatever treatment he undertakes.
.
Keep up good faith. Keep your loved ones near to you in your heart and life. Keep friendly with your medical doctor. Get hold of a holistic health practitioner. If he or she happens to also be a qualified medical professional, hold onto him or her for dear life.
.
I wish you a happy and fantastically healthy day!
